I went with double-sided transparent Scotch tape — sturdier

halves can be attached with 10x2 mm magnets

but be sure to size them correctly to fit your arms

and with the help of 5x10mm magnets in the middle you can also switch quickly between staff and single / dual handed lightsabers combo :) I also added a "clean/non functional" pieces as well if you dont plan to use electronics
