VINTAGE BLACK 'STRIP' CHAIRS BY GIJS BAKKER FOR CASTELIJN, 1970sThis timeless design is one of our favs. The Strip chair was designed with simplifying the chair's form in mind, and is made of only four strips of laminated beechwood that are linked together by dowels. It's simple flowy form allows the chairs to be stacked up to six pieces. The Strip dining chair and armchair were designed by Gijs Bakker in 1974 and produced in a limited number by Castelijn in the Netherlands.
