Tim Ward I'll Fly Away Cuvée MJ NV FianoThis wine takes Tim Ward's beloved pt nat method into an innovative new direction, combining it with the traditional sparkling wine making method by blending multiple vintages with a freshly fermenting one. This is a complex wine with apple, lemon and lime fruit characters, but also with secondary nutty and autolytic characters, the bubble is gentle but persistent and the finish is softly sweet with a couple of grams of residual unfermented grape

bright cherries with crunchy red fruit acidity

These include Avize (from younger vines aged 20 to 40 years)

makes it something of an acquired taste

and to taste

The nose shows some cherries (often more prominent in the cooler vintages) but is dominated by blue fruits

zesty citrus and tropical fruit aromas and flavours that are easy to love but there’s a lot more in play here thanks to a unique site

The Triolet is typically barrel aged for 11 months by which time the overt fruity flavours have diminished
