TN - Woman Paints Insignia on A-31 Vengeance Dive Bomber, WWII 1943In February 1943, a woman worker at Vultee Nashville painted the U. S. Army Air Forces insignia on a Vengeance dive bomber fuselage. The A 31 Vengeance was used for attack missions in the Pacific and European theaters during WWII, with over 1,500 produced. Each reproduction is printed on museum quality, archival paper using a restored version of the original image.
